The Arc of Montgomery County
Informally launched in 1940, The Arc of Montgomery County (The Arc, MC) aims to provide supports, advocacy and choices for people who have mental retardation and related developmental disabilities and their families. Through creativity, flexibility and the individual planning process, The Arc, MC maximizes the use of community resources and supports necessary to include people with mental retardation and related developmental disabilities in their neighborhoods. Inclusion is the cornerstone of The Arc of Montgomery Countys foundation and philosophy. Today, The Arc, MC with a budget of over $23 million and a staff and independent contractors of 600 serves over 4,000 individuals annually with a broad range of comprehensive services and supports.
